TEACHING

Boo's excitement about learning translates into love of teaching. Having studied a vast array of subjects from Music Composition, French and Literary Theory, to Network Engineering and Electronics, she understands the requirements of learning in different disciplines. As such, she likes to operate as a facilitator of the learning process rather than a 'Guardian of Knowledge', which allows her to keep learning along with her students.

Boo has taught and lectured in the areas of Industrial Design, Media and Communications and Architecture across RMIT, Swinburne and Monash Universities in Melbourne. At RMIT she has regularly been involved in undergraduate assessment panels and has also been an invited panelist for the School of Architecture and Design Graduate Research Conference. In 2006, over the period of her residency at SymbioticA, she co-supervised the final project of a Biomedical Engineering Honours student with a member of the Biomedical Engineering Faculty, University of Western Australia. In 2009, taught a Masters course in Biological Arts at The Arts and Genomics Centre, University of Leiden, Holland.
